D K Aruna is a Congress MLA. She represents Gadwal, Mahaboobnagar Assembly Constituency in the Andhra Pradesh Legislature. She served previously as the the Minister for Small- Scale Industries.
Information & Public Relations Minister of Andhra Pradesh, D K Aruna took charge in the D Block at Secretariat today.
Aruna has granted a pension of Rs. 1000 to journalists who couldn't work because of their old age. She signed a file to this effect. She also granted ex-gratia to the families of journalists who died on duty.
The Minister also announced that Nandi Awards will be awarded to those who excel in telugu literature.
